Building a New House!

We are building a new house. Horray! It will be our first house and we decided to build it ourselves to save some money. We will be spending no more than what most 3 bedroom 10+ year old houses are selling for, and it will be brand new, and to our own specifications. It will be just over 2100 sq feet with a 1000 sq ft garage. I have everything decided on, now if we can just get GOING on it. We will hire out a few things, but Tyler, my dad, and I, with some help from family will do the majority. Tyler can wire the electrical with his eyes closed, so he looks forward to that part. We've had the lot cleared for over a month and had everything staked out for 2 weeks, but without escrow closing we can't get a building permit and so we are stuck until that happens.
